How to certify proficiency in a language?
State Commission for the Certification of Proficiency in Polish as a Foreign Language is the authority responsible for certification language proficiency. Certificates issued by this institution are the only respected documents certifying the proficiency in Polish.
Planned examination, fees and levels
The examination is available to all foreigners, there is also no need for preparatory courses. Exams take place three times a year in Spring, Summer and Autumn.

The exam is available on three levels of language proficiency:
B1 – basic (persons 16 years old and older)
B2 – general intermediate (persons 16 years old and older)
C2 – advanced (persons 18 years old and older)
In order to take up the exam fill out the application form and pay the examination fee. An email with the date and place of the exam will be sent in return.
Examination fees:
B1 – basic 60 EUR
B2 – general intermediate 80 EUR
+ 20 EUR if the exam results are positive.
Exam results are usually available after 6 weeks.
